Standard #4:  Compose, Arrange

Connecting Technology & Standards, (emphasis MIDI) for elementary general music.
 

1.  Have students create arrangements in Master Tracks Pro to study timbre or texture.

2.  Have students sequence their own compositions in Master Tracks Pro.

3.  Use Band in a Box to let students try different rhythmic styles for compositions.

4.  Export student compositions from Master Tracks into Hyperstudio or other multimedia applications to integrate with their own writing, artwork, classroom presentations.

5.  Publish student compositions in web pages to celebrate student learning.  (See Composition Connections).
